Dispute Resolution

Dispute resolution is the natural complement to Azarmi Law’s immigration practice. Sally Azarmi qualified as a solicitor in 1994, originally specialising in commercial litigation and in particular shipping and international trade. In dealing with international clients, she was approached on many occasions on immigration issues, and as a result, developed an interest and reputation in this area of law. When setting up her own firm in 2012 Sally continued to practice both areas of law.

  • Azarmi Law’s shipping & international trade team has a strong track record of providing specialist maritime and transport advice for shipowners, charterers, P&I Clubs, freight forwarders and all those whose work arises out of the carriage of goods by sea. We advise on all aspects of dry shipping and multi-jurisdictional litigation (e.g. time and voyage charter disputes; disputes arising from the international sale of goods). We also advise on non-contentious shipbuilding contracts and ship sale and purchase.

We further specialise in advising individuals and companies on trade sanctions e.g. against Iran and Syria.

  • Sally Azarmi has over 25 years’ experience of handling contractual disputes of a domestic and international nature. Prior to setting up Azarmi Law Sally worked for many years in large city law firms, including ‘Magic Circle’ firms gaining experience and expertise in a broad array of high profile contract disputes. The level of care and attention to detail that the team at Azarmi Law applies to every case means that no stone is left unturned when either issuing or defending a claim on your behalf. We ensure that a strategy is in place from the outset and each case is diligently attended to throughout with the certainty of costs transparency. As a boutique firm we are able to work with a number of consultants/barristers who are experts in their fields and work with us as part of the team giving priority to our clients.

  • With our network of expert consultants/barristers we are able to provide a high level and attentive service for clients who are seeking advice on issues arising from suspected financial crime. This includes working with companies and individuals accused of breaching sanctions and also investigations by the SFO.

  • If you are thinking of applying for a Judicial Review or appealing a Home Office decision it means you have probably found yourself reading a very disappointing letter from the Home Office and are now faced with having to navigate a very complex area of law. We are often approached after a refusal has been received. We always discuss the refusal at length, advise on the best way forward and long term strategy for our clients. Often this will result in a fresh application being made by us. However, there are times when an Appeal and/or an Administrative Review and/or  a Judicial Review are the only solutions. These are procedures which require expertise and understanding of the law. Together with our expert consultants, including Immigration Judges, we have achieved an exceptionally high success rate in all forms of Appeal and Review which we have undertaken. Contact us today to speak to an experienced immigration solicitor.
